FOFP Easter Egg Hunt

FOFP had another great Easter Egg Hunt at Memorial Park this year!!

The third annual Friends of Five Points Easter Egg Hunt was held at Memorial Park at 11 AM on Saturday, March 22nd.

We had a great day on Saturday -- perfect weather, lots of  participants. I estimate around 400 people showed up. The big hit  this year was Jim and Patty Lutz driving the Easter Bunny down the  hill in the mint-green convertible VW beetle. The Easter Bunny (FOFP  member Rich Rosch) was perched on the back seat, executing a perfect  pageant wave to the applause and excitement of the eager hunters and  their parents.

It was such a fun time, and so many people said  how much they appreciate this neighborhood event.

A great group of volunteers come out and helped with set-up and
clean up. Of course our big thanks go to Jim and Patty Lutz
and Rich Rosch for the Easter Bunny's grand arrival.  We are also
very thankful for the generosity of the Volkswagen Dealership - they
were very kind to loan us that car.

The Banner-Herald sent a photographer, and they have put 55 photos of
the Hunt on-line at: http://www.spotted.onlineathens.com/galleries/ index.php?id=398933.
